Every Day Lunches

I like food. Good food. Whole food. Identifiable food. Local food. Food I make. Food I share. Food.

I like to take pictures of this food, the daily food I buy, make, and eat.

This blog is dedicated to food and lunches. Eat well!

Lunch, Wednesday, November 17th

Today's lunch is homemade butternut squash soup. The liquid base is a homemade chicken broth. Cinnamon and nutmeg make my office smell like pumpkin pie. I threw a few roasted/salted pistachios on top. Would be nice to have some sweet or sour cream.

Lunch, Monday November 15th

Today's lunch is a pasta dish. Whole wheat pasta with a truly homemade tomato sauce from fresh cooked/strained tomatoes, with my secret ingredients and spices. Then baked with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Some homemade bread too. Very heavy, but my sauce rocks!

Lunch, November 10th

Today's lunch is the rest of the cream of potato leak soup and a biscuit (again) but this time with some melted cheddar. I actually put the biscuits into the soup like giant flat dumplings, and it's working out well.

Lunch, Nobember 8th

Today's lunch is homemade cream of potato and leek soup that was made with homemade chicken broth. The only way to beat that is to add in a homemade biscuit with butter. Booyah!!

Lunch, November 5th

Today's lunch is chicken salad again, with part of a pita and some corn chips. Milk too, but that's still in the fridge, and I have an apple. I wish everyone in the world could eat every day, and eat well (this won't happen through industrial agriculture and genetic engineering!!).

Lunch, November 4, 2010

Well, excuse me! It's been a month since my last post, and that is because I ran out of batteries in my camera at work. Duh! I guess I was lazy in ordering more. But, I did, and now, I have lunch pictures again. Today's lunch is homemade chicken salad with mayonnaise, peas, pecans, salt, pepper, and paprika. I put is on slices of french baguette bread. Very tasty.
